I embarked on a life-changing journey when I moved to the United States in 2004 with my 9-year-old daughter. Despite not speaking English, I quickly adapted and navigated the education system to support my daughter's academic growth—soon realizing that an "F" is far from a "Fantastic Grade." Learning English in my 30s, I developed a deep appreciation for the U.S. education system. Back in Colombia, I honed my professional skills in the health industry and later pursued a career in Global Business. My passion for community building and education led me to co-found a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting economic development in Colombia. Through diligent networking, I have built a vast network of associations and friendships, including high-level diplomats, regional and local public officials, scientists, and academicians in both countries. With nearly 25 years of experience, I have applied my strategic skills across diverse industries, excelling in administrative leadership, program and project direction, and international relationship management. I am fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, enabling me to bridge cultures and foster global connections.

I am on a journey to help others see their potential and achieve their goals! I have worked in education in both public and private schools and love seeing the “light bulb” moment for a student when they overcome an obstacle. As a career coach I work with at risk youth to finish their high school diploma and point toward achieving the next goal they set for themselves (secondary education or employment). I am continuing to work towards my BA in Education Studies and am thankful to be doing work I love while working toward long term goals.
