I know what it's like to feel lost on your career path as an ADHD’er. The anxiety. The uncertainty. The self-doubt. The worry surrounding the “flaws” in your career history. I see you. You are NOT alone.I, too, once struggled with ADHD at work. Throughout my twenties, I experienced repeated cycles of job burnout - even, somewhat ironically, while working in the career services industry! Before turning thirty, I quit my job to use what little energy I had left on raising my young children. However, friends and family continued to come to me for career and resume advice. And, as it turned out, I loved it. In 2017, I officially launched my resume writing business. While I found joy in this work, over time, I found myself wanting to do more to help ADHD'ers like myself break free from the burnout trap.So I did! In 2022, I made a career pivot that changed my life and dedicated myself to supporting ADHD'ers from all walks of life. Whether they're executives seeking work-life balance, stay-at-home parents re-entering the workforce, or mid-career professionals facing job loss, I've been there to guide them. Today, I'm so grateful to have fulfilled my own definition of career success by helping my fellow ADHD'ers discover theirs. Are you ready to join the club?! Here's how we can work together: First, we'll take a look at your values, strengths, and ADHD challenges to uncover your next step toward a sustainable, ADHD-friendly career. Next, we'll build a personalized job search strategy to accommodate both your personality and market needs. Then, I’ll support you in developing your resume, LinkedIn profile, and interview stories - whether you just want guidance, or want me to take that all off your plate. Finally, I’ll help you navigate the entire job search process - from finding you open jobs and custom-tailoring cover letters - to preparing for interviews and salary negotiations. I offer packages to meet your specific needs. So, how can I help YOU? Let me know by scheduling

Lacayo, Xavi

From Nicaragua to New Orleans. Embracing the chaos one day at a time. (But always leaving a little wiggle-room to decompress with some videogames). Hola, I’m Xavi [ha-vee] (he/him/el)! I’m a proud Loyola University New Orleans alumnus, Class of 2015, with a degree in Mass Communication | Public Relations and a minor in Psychology. After several years of eclectic professional growth, I found my way back to my alma mater in Spring 2023 as a Career Coach. In my role, I help students in the College of Music and Media navigate their career paths, build confidence, and take meaningful steps toward their professional goals. Whether it's refining a résumé, preparing for interviews, or making industry connections, I love empowering students to tell their stories and showcase their talents. My mantra? Embrace the chaos. The journey to finding your path is rarely a straight line—it’s full of twists, surprises, and unexpected opportunities. I believe that by leaning into the unknown, staying adaptable, and trusting the process, people can discover careers that truly align with their passions and strengths. In my free time, I enjoy jogging around City Park, writing poetry that will stay in my journal, playing online games with my best friends, combining fruits with libations, and chatting about life with my pet turtle, Bagel. If you're looking for career advice, professional branding tips, or just a supportive conversation about what’s next, I’m here to help. Let’s connect and make things happen!

I help global brands navigate complex legal and business decisions across the intersections of hospitality, media, entertainment, intellectual property. I’m a Corporate Commercial Lawyer with 12+ years of experience partnering with blue-chip companies operating across multiple jurisdictions and business models. My work sits where law meets strategy: supporting growth, managing risk, and helping teams move faster with confidence. What I’m known for: * Strategic, business-first legal advice, translating legal risk into commercial decision-making * Acting as a true business partner to the C-suite, senior leadership, and their teams * Building trust across legal, finance, marketing, sales, information technology, and operations * Calm problem-solving in high-stakes, brand sensitive environments * Translating legal complexity into clear advice and practical action My scope and experience spans media, music, film and television, marketing, advertising, events, hospitality, social media, public relations, retail, litigation, and commercial transactions giving me a wide-angle view of how modern businesses actually operate and grow across various lines of business. I’ve advised across diverse revenue models, emerging initiatives, and high-visibility projects where judgment matters as much as technical skill. Beyond my legal role, I’m deeply invested in leadership, mentorship, and personal and professional development. I have served on the Board of Directors of a number of arts organizations, serve as a volunteer mentor and career coach to lawyers through the LSO and Women’s Law Association of Ontario, and support lawyers through my small coaching practice. I’ve navigated multiple industry transitions across my career, which has shaped my ability to step into new environments quickly, assess risk holistically, and lead corporations and individuals through change. This adaptability has been critical in supporting businesses during periods of growth, transformation,

* As a U Career Success coach, I have the opportunity to guide and connect students to experiences that will lead to lifelong career success. I love working in a positive and collaborative center that personalizes students' needs. Focusing on understanding the career goals of students and helping them achieve those goals is a highlight for me. * I graduated from the U of U with a degree in communications, emphasis news/editorial and worked for a local SLC-area television station (KJZZ TV) for 4 years in marketing and promotions. I enjoyed learning about the media business, how to promote sports and affiliate programming, running a kids club and helping to write, edit and produce promotional materials. * After my first daughter was born, I left the station and was a stay-at-home mom, adding 3 more kids to our family. With cross-country moves to Pennsylvania, Texas and Maryland for my husband's academic career, I learned what it takes to get a PhD, how to adapt and get to know people from all over the country, and how to help my children in various school systems as a parent and volunteer. * Since moving back to SLC, I spent 7 years at my local K-5 elementary school as the librarian. Learning the names and interests of 450+ students, in addition to the 11,000 book collection, was a multi-year process. I was able to teach, lead and inspire students in their reading journey, meeting them wherever they were at. I also became a Battle of the Books expert, bringing the reading incentive program to my school and adapting it when the district pulled out. Working with children and books was a career highlight for me and my heart will always be in libraries. (If you need book recommendations for your elementary-age kids, I have plenty!) * My interest in careers began as I've informally interviewed friends, family and acquaintances about their work for the last 15 years. I finally decided to challenge myself and started a podcast in the Fall of 2020 called Career Chat. M
