The "Career OS" Update π§
π§ Pathfinder, Reimagined
Pathfinder used to ask for one target company and one target role. That was too rigid. The reworked Pathfinder needs only one thing to start: the role you want. Everything else is optional and shapes the kind of plan you get:
- No target company? You get a Direction path: a route toward the role itself, grounded on your WorkFive Workplace DNA and the skills the role demands. Perfect when you know what you want to do but not where.
- One target company? The classic Targeted path: everything we know about that specific employer, sharpened.
- Up to five target companies? A new Field path: what those companies share, where they diverge, and how to position yourself across the whole set. Free users pick 1, Pro users pick up to 5.
One target, one plan. The role is your north star; the companies just shape the map.
π§ Meet Career Memory: 14 Blocks and Growing
The thing that has quietly powered every tailored output on JobMentis, your CV bullets, your cover letters, your mock interviews, your Pathfinder paths, now has a name: Career Memory. It's the durable, structured picture we keep of you, built from 14 distinct blocks:
- Attested about you: work history, WorkFive Workplace DNA, career archetype, Story Bank, LinkedIn profile, identity, outcomes, content themes, confirmed facts, and every feedback loop you've completed.
- Learned from your JobMentis usage: recurring interview insights (from real and mock feedback), your live upskill gaps across applications, your Worth compensation profile, and your role's disruption risk. Each carries a clear "AI-derived, from <source>" label, so you always know what came from you versus what we inferred.
And new this release: those blocks now compose into a Master Brief, a short living narrative of who you are professionally, that every AI tool reads from as its opening context. Same shared reality, told as a story rather than a data dump.
You'll see Career Memory called out on your homepage, on the pricing page, and inside the new dashboard. Every session makes it a little richer: another story captured, another fact confirmed, another outcome tracked. The tools get sharper as it grows.
ποΈ A Brand-New Dashboard: Mission Control
Your old dashboard was a launchpad. The new one, Mission Control, is a command center. Built around the actual shape of a job search:
- A universal search bar right at the top. Type "audit my CV," "apply to a job," "who should I network with?", "am I paid fairly?", or a company name. It finds the answer.
- Active Missions: your live applications, front and center, with next-best-action nudges beside each one.
- Two clear doors to start something new: "I have a job posting" (paste it, we do the rest) or "No posting yet" (target a company, a role, or a direction).
- Upcoming interviews and resume-your-track pickup, so you never lose the thread between sessions.
- A Career Memory rail down the side, showing exactly what JobMentis currently knows about you and where to fill in the gaps.
π Multiple Master CVs, One for Each Career Track
You've probably got more than one story to tell. A Product Manager master. An Engineering Manager master. A consulting master. A pivot master. Until now, JobMentis assumed one canonical CV per user. That's over.
- Hold up to 10 master CVs, one for each career track you're pursuing. Set the default; switch it any time.
- Pathfinder now grounds on a specific master. When you start a new path, pick which version of you it should reason from. Your PM story leads to a PM plan; your Eng Manager story leads to an Eng Manager plan. No blurring.
- Every tailored CV downstream starts from the master you picked, not from a one-size-fits-all baseline.
