What are my goals? What are my strengths? What do I value? I coasted through K-12 (and most of my undergraduate years) without much thought of the future or “what’s next”. I struggled to reflect on who I was and what brought fulfillment to my life – I was at a dead end. It wasn’t until I began to support students with their futures in graduate school that it dawned on me – My goal is to help others discover and achieve their goals (ideally quicker than I discovered mine!). The first critical step to embarking on a career journey is introspection. As a Career Coach, I support students in identifying what their interests, strengths, values, skills, and priorities are and how to use the information to hone-in on a fulfilling career. I do this by asking powerful questions and supporting them with resources and goal setting strategies. With experience in crafting discussion focused workshops, writing targeted resumes, creating and editing instructional videos, building a professional online presence, and more, I strive to equip students from the early stages of career exploration, to negotiating a job offer, and everywhere in between.
