Passion for Joy in our Work is a goal that Diane has focused on during her career and is now sharing her wisdom and learnings with others. Through her innovative coaching techniques, helping her clients understand their strengths and getting clear on their goals, she is able to help others gain confidence and Empowered for Excellence. In Healthcare, Diane has focused on system improvements to support healthcare providers in keeping patients safe including medication reconciliation, full implementation of ISMP targeted best practices, reporting system designs, use of analytics and dashboards, and utilizing simulation to enhance safe practice. Diane built a successful medication security and diversion prevention program, gaining support from top leaders, designing policies and processes, forming a diversion response team, and implementing an IT surveillance program to support the work. As a Quality Consultant for a national, nonprofit, health care consulting firm, Diane worked collaboratively with clinicians, hospitals, and clinics to reduce adverse drug events across care settings. She developed tools, provided analytics support, and educated staff on best practices to improve the health outcomes of high-risk patient populations. Diane has been recognized as an innovator for the development of patient care programs and has been honored by various awards in the areas of improving patient and medication safety. Operational excellence and removing barriers for safety and efficiency has also been a significant accomplishment and focus for Diane. Leading operations in a variety of healthcare settings, including regional management, showcased her ability to effectively handle large system changes including integration to a new company, changes in staffing models, several computer upgrades, all while maintaining retention of staff and superior customer service.
