John Lees

One of the UK's best known career transition specialists and careers writers. He is the author of 'How To Get A Job You Love', one of the best known career book by a British author, selected as WH Smith’s ‘Business Book of the Month’ in January 2024, and winner of the Australian Career Book Award. His books have been translated into Polish, Georgian, Arabic, Japanese and Spanish. John has written a weekly column for Metro and key pieces on career management for Harvard Business Review online. He has worked with a large range of organisations including The British Council, Career Management Consultants Ltd, CIPD, HBOS, The House of Commons, HSBC, Imperial College, Orange, REC, The Association of MBAs, Lloyds Banking Group, Marks & Spencer, Reed, Reuters, and Tribal, as well as business schools across the UK. Contributor to corporate L&D Programmes - regularly speaks at in-house conferences on career management themes and has designed and run major corporate programmes on themes including the following: * Career realignment – helping key staff see options and pathways within the organisation * Structured career conversations to assist with talent retention * Career management – helping to plan the next steps within the organisation John owes a huge debt to Richard Nelson Bolles, author of What Color Is Your Parachute?
