I grew up in a steel town in western Pennsylvania with big dreams but no roadmap for how to reach them. Today I live in Breckenridge, Colorado, in what often feels like a literal snow globe. Everything in between happened because I learned to leap before I had everything figured out. There were no professional connections, no clear playbook, and no guarantee that the life I imagined was even possible. What I did have was curiosity, determination, and a willingness to leap before everything was figured out. That mindset shaped the path that followed. Over time, I worked my way through higher education earning a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, PhD, and now an MBA, starting as a graduate teaching assistant and eventually becoming tenured professor and then an Assistant Dean. But my story isn’t just about climbing the academic ladder. Along the way, I built a life that once felt completely out of reach. I became a working mom of 4, pursued opportunities that challenged me, invested in real estate, started two businesses, and created a lifestyle that reflects the freedom and flexibility I always hoped for. Today I live in Breckenridge, Colorado, a place that often feels like a literal snow globe compared to where I started. Looking back, most of the biggest moves in my life had one thing in common: I didn’t wait until everything felt perfectly clear. I took the leap and trusted that I would figure things out along the way. That philosophy is what I now call the "Professional Badass Method". I believe women don’t need perfect timing, perfect confidence, or perfect clarity to build extraordinary careers and lives.
