My name is Lori McGee Holland and I am a retired high school instructor with 26 years of teaching experience. As a high school instructor I taught several subjects including Marketing, Career Pathways, Health, Family Dynamics and Child Development. I was honored as the CPE Teacher of the Year for the state of Mississippi as well as the Community Service Teacher of the Year for the state of Mississippi. My strengths were student and teacher motivation, classroom management, classroom creativity and inspiring all students to become better citizens through various community service opportunities. Throughout my teaching career my resume reflects dozens of leadership roles that I served in through club and community sponsorships. If it went on in a high school I was probably involved at some level! I proudly served on the Itawamba Agricultural High School School Improvement Team for many years as we achieved accolades such as the highest ratings in our SACS review for IAHS. I am extremely outgoing and am a great public speaker. I have a gift of connecting with students and parents and "selling" classes and programs to prospective students. In twenty six years I had very few discipline problems in the classroom and I believe it was my classroom management skills along with my love for students and my enthusiasm. Students always wanted to be in my room because they not only learned life skills but they also felt loved. I have a love for high school students. My heart goes out to high school educators who are struggling during this very difficult time of balancing all of the duties required of them plus post covid regulations. I have always felt that I could help teachers with classroom ideas and overall motivation. I am very interested in educational mentoring and consulting.
