I am a natural connector… a “matchmaker” with a knack for identifying what logically fits together. Given my reputation, my recruiting clients and other Recruiters, often seek me out to find that elusive "Needle in a Haystack" or "Purple Squirrel" candidate. In fact, on a humourous note, a Recruiter once called asking me if she had reached "The Hail Mary Recruiter!" I still smile about that. Throughout my Marketing Career, I've connected the right products with the right markets. As a Recruiter, I match the right candidates with the right employers, and as a Career Coach, I groom candidates to attract and land roles aligned with the next step in their careers. I began my career in HR, and after a successful 12-year run, I was asked to take on a Marketing Manager role to breathe new life into a subsidiary. I leveraged my Marketing Degree and creativity to help turn the division around within 6 months. After 15 rewarding years in marketing, I decided to return to the recruiting and people development/coaching aspects of HR. Today, I blend my marketing and HR skills to optimize outcomes for those I serve. HOW I ADD VALUE BY HELPING YOU MAKE THE RIGHT MATCHES * Strategic and Tactical Candidate Marketing (Matchmaking) * High-Impact Personal & Corporate Brand-Building to Attract & Retain the Right Workforce * Digital & Social Media Strategies Aligned with Your Brand * Recruiter Training: Transforming Your Recruiters into Headhunters * Motivational Speaking Events / Presentations that Hit the Mark * Outplacement Services that Facilitate Displaced Employee Landings & Reduce Unemployment Costs AWARDS / ACHIEVEMENTS * Keynote / Featured Speaker at 100s of events over 14 years * Served 7,000+ job seekers through pro bono and paid group coaching and over 450 on a 1:1 basis * Awarded "Top Coach" by LinkedIn and am among LinkedIn's Top 5% Career Development Coaches * Featured as a "Top" Coach in an article published by LinkedIn * Former HR Professional of 12+ y

I am an experienced coach, offering both career coaching and executive coaching. I love helping my clients to gain renewed focus in their career path or to find a different direction. My approach is to treat everyone as a unique individual; helping them to look at their career or work situation from many different perspectives so they can become much clearer about what their options are and what they really want. This builds clients' confidence in their own strengths and abilities, and enables them to assess all their options thoroughly, perform to their best and (if moving roles) approach the job market fully prepared; clear about their professional identity, capable of crisply articulating it to others and playing to their strengths. My own career background is in the tech sector, where I enjoyed working for companies in every lifecycle phase from pre-launch start-up through to Tier 1 blue-chip companies and was fortunate to work in some fascinating international roles, managing teams across more than 20 countries. Recruiting people, building teams and helping folks grow throughout their careers was always the aspect of my work I enjoyed the most, which is why I’m delighted that helping people find fulfilling careers is now my full-time job. I have an MA in Career Development and Coaching Studies from Warwick University and am a registered professional member of the Career Development Institute. I am also certified by the British Psychological Society to use a range of psychometric tools. Specialties: Career Coaching, Executive Coaching, Career Change, Career Development, Outplacement, Career Transition, Interview Preparation, Career-Related Learning, Career Management, Career Workshops, Talent Management, CV Development, Job Search, Networking and Social Media, Career Clinics

I'm excited to explore new opportunities as I continue my personal and professional journey. My hope is to find a position that uses my skill set and passions. Early in my career I discovered the power in developing authentic, meaningful experiences that engage youth in creating positive change. By designing and organizing high interest Service Learning opportunities, young people become positive change agents. This increases engagement and promotes the development of essential life long leadership skills. My extensive experience with this, affords me the confidence to say that HOPE always follows. I bring with me certification as Building Administrator, Masters in Educational Leadership and Curriculum Design, ten years as Maine public school administrator, and sixteen years of classroom teaching experience. Currently, I am enrolled in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Certificate through eCornell University.

For more than a decade, I’ve helped people get jobs. I’ve helped companies like Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, IDEO, and Facebook hire and manage teams, and as a certified career coach, I help job seekers land the jobs they want. CAREER COACHING Pulling from my recruiting & creative management background, I coach creative individuals and agencies internationally. I specialize in coaching advertising art directors, copywriters and graphic designers, so they can see themselves get the recognition they deserve, hear about themselves in their industry, and finally feel satisfied even when they've felt stuck. CREATIVE RESOURCING Since my time at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, I can’t shake my love for recruiting, creative services, and operations. That’s why you’ll occasionally see me take on a contract to help a company build their design group. While managing the creative department at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, the department grew from 65 to more than 170 employees. It was a rush building teams and allocating resources for the close to $2 billion in agency new business billings won in less than one year – plus attending to the needs of the billions in "old business" billings that same year. In 2008, the agency’s partners honored me as one of the top 30 employees (out of more than 600 people). During my time at IDEO, I recruited and assigned design contractors – growing the freelance network of active designers by 16% within the first 14 weeks of restructuring creative operations. Then, at The Factory (Facebook’s in-house advertising group), I worked closely with leads to manage workload across multiple groups including select projects for the Social Good Group and Internet.org. To support an increased project volume, the number of creatives actively working on projects more than doubled in less than one year. Feel free to connect about career coaching or creative resourcing.
