Marissa Heuer

As a Career Coach with Anne Arundel Workforce Development Corporation’s Student Career Excellence sector, I work directly with high school students at Severna Park High School, helping them explore career paths, develop professional skills, and prepare for life beyond graduation. My goal is to equip students with the tools and confidence they need to make informed decisions about their futures—whether that means pursuing higher education, entering the workforce, or exploring alternative career pathways.I hold both a Master’s degree in Community-Based Education and Leadership and a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Studies from Stevenson University. My academic journey, coupled with my experience as a student-athlete on Stevenson’s softball team, has shaped my ability to lead, mentor, and adapt in dynamic environments. Balancing academics and athletics taught me invaluable lessons in teamwork, time management, resilience, and leadership—skills that continue to influence my professional approach today.
