I'm passionate about helping individuals achieve “success” on their own terms. As a Results-Trained Coach through the NeuroLeadership Institute, I use brain-based coaching methodologies based on the latest neuroscience research. I'm also a Certified Professional Diversity Coach through CoachDiversity Institute, with a focus on transformational coaching emphasizing issues of equity, diversity, inclusion, power and privilege. My clients include lawyers, business professionals, and non-profit leaders. My diverse work, educational and life experiences provide me with a unique vantage point for understanding multiple client perspectives. I coached at Rotman's Business Edge Program, was previously a corporate lawyer and Director (Student Programs, Alumni Relations) at a large Bay Street law firm, co-founded and managed a walk-in medical clinic, and obtained a Math/Computer Science undergraduate degree prior to law school (I include that because it taught me so much resilience!). One of my defining life experiences was immigrating from Jamaica to Canada at age 10. I've learned so much from my own challenges and opportunities and from working with incredible clients who have traveled their own unique path. My mission is to empower clients to effect positive change in their lives. I help them to clarify and achieve their goals, improve confidence, build better habits, learn new behaviours, improve thinking, and stand in their power. Certified by the International Coach Federation (ICF), the gold standard in coaching and the only globally recognized, independent credentialing program for coach practitioners. I partner with executives, professionals, and high-achieving individuals to create transition strategies for their next best chapter. Together we build verbal and written messaging around core missions. This is what I love to do. My background is unique – I bring 20+ years of experience in Career Development and Recruiting to Executive Career Coaching, Messaging Development, and Document Creation. Over the last 5 years, I have assisted hundreds of executives, professionals, consultants, individual contributors, and students advance and accelerate their career missions. Career success is a science. I promote action and clear messaging around your personal Career Brand and mission: -- How to craft the mission and message -- Where to place the message / How to use the mission and message -- How to socialize the message CAREER TRANSITIONS: There is a formal process for pursuit of greater career goals. High-achieving individuals, professionals, and executives have always pursued career or personal missions – even if those missions were not clearly defined in a formal written manner. Frequently this is a conversation about, "Why you love doing what you do," and "What impact do you want to have now and into the future?" WHO I HELP: -- Executives, Professionals, independent contributors - anyone who is looking to pursue their mission - what they love to do -- High-achieving individuals are looking to take control of their lives and careers -- Executives & Professionals who wish to pivot to a new career path or Board positions HOW I DO THIS: We have a detailed conversation or series of conversations about: -- Your personal goals -- Your strengths & outstanding accomplishments -- Your professional mission -- Your future career -- The impacts your action will have on your life, the industry, and the world. WHAT YOU COME AWAY WITH: A clear action plan, specific strategies and tactics, and tools for change. These tools include customized messaging, action plans, scr

I am an attorney and Professional Certified Coach (PCC) who has been working within AmLaw 25 firms since June 2019: first at Kirkland & Ellis as a CareerLink Coach and now at McDermott Will & Schulte (formerly McDermott, Will & Emery) as the Global Director of Career Coaching & Services. Since August 2020, the Career Coaching & Services program I designed, launched, and continue to develop at McDermott has served over 1200 people, including not only the Firm’s current attorneys as they look to accelerate their careers but also those of our attorney-alumni and select friends of the Firm who may be looking to make a career transition. In my role at McDermott, I provide support to our current attorneys as they pursue their professional (and often personal) goals. In that capacity, I create a safe space to think out loud, to be seen and to be heard, as they consider what they may want and need in the moment as well as in the future. I also identify and escalate themes that bubble up in coaching conversations and collaborate with my peers in Alumni Relations, Business Development, Human Resources, and Professional Development to address any perceived needs arising from those themes. A life-long learner who attended Loyola University of Chicago’s School of Law while working full-time in the financial services industry as a compliance officer, I opted to participate in iPEC’s coach training program while serving as the GC and CCO for a financial services firm with approximately $3B AUM. What started off as a quest to learn more about myself and in turn how I interact with the world around me led to my current career. I am in some ways a case study on not only career transitions but also personal transformations. Regardless of the environment in which I may be, I try to bring a degree of curiosity, open-mindedness, and optimism with me. I have found that mindset helps foster connection and often opens up a world of possibilities I might not otherwise have seen. I encour
