The Youth Vocational Program (YoVoPro) provides job readiness training in area high schools for underserved youth. YoVoPro addresses employment and training disparities for those who face barriers to employment due to poverty, learning disabilities, and racial inequity.YoVoPro combines hard skills such as resume writing with soft skills like interview techniques to give students the necessary tools to acquire and retain employment for the first time. Career Coaches for YoVoPro also serve as a resource to help students navigate post-secondary education options (apprenticeships, college, training, etc). Upon completion of YoVoPro, students will feel confident in their abilities to enter the work force and compete at a higher level.
