My career has always centered around helping people build stability, confidence, and opportunity. From working with neurodivergent learners in special education, to supporting families through resource navigation, and now coaching adults through job-search barriers, I’ve learned that meaningful guidance can change the entire trajectory of someone’s life. Today, I support 80+ participants through individualized coaching—resumes, LinkedIn, interview preparation, and job search strategy—while partnering with community organizations to expand access to employment resources. In 2025, I successfully supported the placement or advancement of 100+ individuals into new or improved jobs, helping participants secure meaningful employment and grow in their careers. Beyond direct coaching, I helped develop and refine career coaching processes now used across Mi Casa’s Career Pathways programs, strengthening how participants receive guidance and support. I also mentor teammates, contribute to improving program systems, and ensure accurate data tracking in Salesforce. In addition to my workforce development work, I am also an independent career coach and founder of JourneyWise with Dessy, where I provide personalized career coaching using a holistic approach that considers professional goals, mindset, life circumstances, and long-term personal growth. I believe in meeting people where they are, honoring their lived experiences, and empowering them with the tools they need to thrive. My work is driven by empathy, equity, and the belief that everyone deserves the chance to reach their full potential. I’m always open to new opportunities, collaborations, and clients who are seeking guidance through my independent career coaching services.
