Grace Bocchino

A student-centered leader, I am committed to championing student success by providing students from historically underrepresented backgrounds with the tools and resources needed to achieve individual career and college goals. I draw on my 10+ years of experience in the non-profit sector, including over seven years working in the public school system and my background in the mental health field, to administer tailored support and guidance. Throughout the college and career readiness process, I expand students’ college exposure and networking experience through career and admissions panels, career fairs, and campus tours. I am dedicated to eliminating systemic barriers and obstacles to college access by laying the foundation for and raising awareness of the need for equity in education. Part of my strategy includes developing innovative programs and community partnerships that help shape equitable and inclusive school climates and communities. Areas of Key Skill: * Building and launching data-backed programs, curriculums, lessons, and counseling sessions that address individual student needs. * Liaising with and forging sustainable relationships with colleges and universities, while coordinating onsite and virtual visits. * Inspiring and instilling the confidence in students, including students from underrepresented backgrounds, to pursue their academic and career goals. * Creating balanced support systems for students, their parents, and families by promoting interdepartmental collaborations and teaming with external resources. * Streamlining the college application process by opening access to financial aid planning, scholarships, and search tools, while teaching students how to write individualized college lists.
