Julia Bourque

Since 2014, supporting undergraduate and graduate students in their job and internship search has been at the heart of my work. I've engaged in hundreds of one-on-one coaching appointments, created educational programs and experiential learning opportunities, and managed funding opportunities. I bring strong leadership and project execution, empathy in building relationships among students, alumni, and the Yale community, and agility in spearheading new initiatives all to support students in their career exploration and job search. As both a coach to students and a colleague, I strive to be approachable, calm, and action-oriented. Always looking at new ways to support students, I most recently created and facilitated multiple career-oriented design thinking workshops, as well as initiated a series of peer-to-peer video advice for the cohort of early-career students I manage. Outside the office you can find me skiing/snowboarding, running a 5k or marathon training, or doing a New York Times crossword.
