Liz Ferris

I am passionate about helping people better understand themselves and what they have to offer the world, empowering them to overcome obstacles to their growth, healing, and success. I am a relationship-builder and team-oriented people leader. My career journey has been within the mission of coaching and mentoring high school and college students. It has included houseparenting at a children's home and residential treatment facility; directing an area Young Life outreach ministry; assisting first-generation, low-income middle and high school students prepare for, access, and succeed in higher education; and guiding college students in career development - including exploration, self-assessment, workplace experiences, résumé development and interview preparation. My qualifications include: - Demonstrated background of student advocacy - Cultivator of professional relationships and community partnerships - Leader by membership and action in various business and community organizations - Manager of non-profit budgets ranging from $140,000 to $200,000 - Member of multicultural work teams serving diverse persons/families - Global Understanding (Overseas study, international personal travel to Africa, Canada and Europe) - Demonstrated communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills - Community Outreach
