Mark Petrie

I am a Career Coach with a passion for helping students and professionals explore their interests, discover their strengths, and achieve their goals. My work centers on guiding self-discovery by empowering individuals and teams to live authentically and create environments where they thrive. Before stepping into higher education, I spent over ten years teaching English to high school and college students, an experience that strengthened my familiarity with the diversity of learning styles and deepened my passion for mentorship, curriculum design, and the importance of authenticity. Now, I bring that same energy to career development, where I collaborate with teams to design impactful programs and initiatives that set students up for long-term success. I’m especially interested in research around healthy team building and leadership, exploring what helps people work better together, support one another, and achieve more collectively. At the heart of everything I do is a belief that empathy and self awareness are the foundation of meaningful development.
