I'm a Career Coach who is on a mission to improve the interview process for both sides of the table. I coach people to have clear, confident, and direct conversations about who they are, how they work, and what they need and want. Having the self-awareness and the words to communicate these things effectively is paramount for creating your best work environment. Psst, this goes for you too, hiring managers! A little bit about me, I am a dreamer by nature and a pragmatist by upbringing and education. From studying Economics I thought I knew about trade offs and opportunity costs until life taught me about those things for real! Spirituality, yoga, and many years has helped me scratch the surface of why. What I've learned: * Most everyone is always figure something out (if they're doing it right) so let's stop pretending that we've got it all figured out. * Everyone's paths are full of trips and turns, the straight line is the exception. Embrace the winding road that brought you here. * You are the only source of communicating your strengths, work loves, wants, needs and blindspots that a future employer or partner has. They, and problems needing to be solved, need you to show up and be seen. * Our hiring and interviewing processes are in desperate need of an overhaul. Just because behavioral based questions is the way we've done things doesn't mean that's the best way. * Being good and taking care of yourself regardless of your job, manager, salary, etc. is a prerequisite to creating great work outside of yourself. It's not about the job.
