Meredith Matherly

Hello! I’m Meredith, a Career Coach who joined the American Public University System Career Services team in 2024, bringing with me over 10 years of experience working with the National Park Service and Bureau of Land Management. Throughout my career in federal parks, I had the privilege of not only creating interpretive programs to help the public connect with nature but also mentoring interns and seasonal staff. These experiences sparked my passion for guiding individuals toward their academic and career goals.I assist students and alumni in the STEM industries with a focus on navigating the complexities of the federal job application process. I hold a BS in Recreation from Shepherd University and an MS in Resource Communications from Stephen F. Austin State University.Before joining APUS, my husband and I embarked on an incredible adventure, sailing from Newport, Oregon, to Annapolis, Maryland—an experience that continues to inspire my work and outlook on life.
