Paul Bliss

I am a career coach at Pennsylvania Western University, where I have the rewarding responsibility of supporting students in the arts, humanities, communications, and social sciences—including criminal justice, legal studies, political science, and sociology. Since 2007, I have worked in higher education across a variety of functional areas, including alumni engagement, fundraising, international education, residence life, and student conduct. In addition to my work in academia, I bring professional experience in public safety, prehospital healthcare, and hospitality. I am a founding member of Blissful Meads, LLC, a winery and restaurant located in Meadville, Pennsylvania. I hold advanced degrees in Managerial and Leadership Communication from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania (now PennWest Edinboro) and in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Outside of work, I serve as a member of the Edinboro Volunteer Fire Department, where I hold certifications in interior firefighting and advanced emergency medical services.
