Sarah Boland

I am a Career Coach at the University of Washington, where I provide career guidance and resources to students and facilitate on-campus hiring events. I have a strong background in problem solving, oral communication, and interviewing skills, which I have developed through my previous roles as a Assistant Career Advisor, Human Resource Administrator and a Tennis Instructor.In my current role, I work with a diverse and inclusive team of career advisors, who support students from various backgrounds and majors to achieve their career goals. I contribute to the team by providing 1:1 appointments, reviewing resumes and cover letters, and delivering classroom workshops on career development topics. I also coordinate on-campus hiring events, where I partner with employers and faculty to connect students with opportunities. I am passionate about helping students discover their strengths, interests, and values, and empowering them to navigate the job market with confidence and professionalism. I am eager to learn from and collaborate with other career development professionals, and to bring my communication and media skills to enhance the outreach and engagement of the career center.
