WHAT I DO: * Help MBAs target, connect and land their dream jobs. * Boost job search confidence by coaching on best practices that work in today’s job search. * Empower people with the knowledge, motivation, and guidance to move their careers forward. * Stay current on the ever-chaining environments with resumes, LinkedIn, job search, professional branding and Interview techniques. MY CAREER SHIFT STORY: * After spending 14 years managing corporate banking relationships and loan portfolios with two international banks, I decided to shift focus from companies to people and pursued a master's in counseling. I dug deep and started over as an intern which led to my role as Career Strategist for MBAs and Alumni in the Career Management Center at Duke University- The Fuqua School of Business. It's never too late to make a shift and find meaningful work! WHAT MAKES ME SUCCESSFUL AT WHAT I DO: * I understand business, accounting and finance and have a knack for translating what people do into words that stand out on resumes and LinkedIn profiles. * I continue to learn and grow by going deep into content areas that help clients: Career Leader, MBTI, Gallup’s Strengths Assessment, National Certified Resume Writer (NCRW) and National Certified Online Profile Expert (NCOPE) * I do what I love at a great university with gifted colleagues: helping students and alumni identify and leverage their personal strengths, connecting students and alumni with resources to assist with career decisions and development, and collaborating with key stakeholders across Duke to optimize the student and alumni experience.
