With experience in both business and education, I bring a unique perspective to helping students get what they want out of high school, college and beyond. My primary focus at Partners for Achievement is to assist students with their interviewing skills. I enjoy conducting mock interviews to ease the stress that comes with, what might be, a student's first interview experience. With practice, students can learn to focus on their strengths and guide the interview to highlight their greatest accomplishments. I also work with our Mentor Network program which exposes students to professionals who have careers in the most desirable industries. With monthly presentations, students learn about careers in various fields which helps to guide their choice of college major. And finally, I assist with our College to Career Readiness Program. Through workshops in resume writing, interviewing skills, professional etiquette and more, we ensure that our college students are prepared to enter the work force.

"Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life's coming attractions." ~Albert Einstein Imagination, creativity, courage, and reflection are building blocks for designing a meaningful career and life. As a career coach, I enjoy using my previous experience as an artist and art teacher for insight into the creative nature of career and life design. The highlight of my practice is building relationships with students, helping them imagine possibilities, and giving them courage to explore their values, skills, and interests to make fulfilling life choices. Encouraging students to reflect on problems they want to solve and ways they can get involved in the world gives me great satisfaction, and I am deeply committed to guiding students through the career exploration process. Life is full of many adventures. In addition to career coaching, you can find me outside camping, hiking the beautiful trails in Northwest Arkansas, soaking up sunshine in my hammock, and gardening. Other activities that bring me joy include traveling to new places, meeting people from different cultures, painting and making pottery from my home studio, baking, listening to music, watching foreign films, strolling through art museums, eating delicious food, and snuggling with my cat while enjoying my new favorite book. Adventures on the horizon: fluency and immersive Spanish language experiences through enrollment in a Spanish course and travel to Spain, Guatemala and Panama, hiking el Camino de Santiago, learning more about biomimicry because it's fascinating, fly fishing the Yellowstone River, and writing + illustrating a children's travel book series. Stay tuned!
