I currently serve as a Career Coach supporting students interested in pursuing careers in the arts, fashion, entertainment, communications, and/or media. #VandyinArtsandMedia. My primary aim is to ensure students have the knowledge, tools, confidence, and resources to make progress towards, and ultimately achieve, their desired career goals. Currently, I'm in the process of exploring opportunities in branding, marketing, sports, and/or fashion. Though I am not exactly sure what exactly I want to do, I know that I would like my next role to blend strategy, creativity, and impact. As a lifelong learner, I am intentional about setting time aside to upskill (e.g., Inside LVMH Certificate Program, WME NXT Industry Sessions, etc.) to facilitate a smoother transition into my next adventure. Some key transferable skills include: - Data-informed decision-making - Campaign ideation & strategy - Cross-functional collaboration - People-centric problem-solving - Talent development - Audience research & engagement - Keeping my finger on the pulse of the entertainment industry by regularly reading industry trades (e.g., Business of Fashion, Glam Observer, Assistants vs Agents, Hollywood Reporter, etc.)

My doctorate research was on the coaching relationship at the Coaching Psychology Unit at City University. I also serve on the editorial board of The Coaching Psychologist, and was Co-Editor of Coaching: An International Journal of Theory, Research and Practice until 2016. Specialties: Coaching Psychology, Providing developmental, executive, career, performance and stress-management coaching services, psychological therapist. Particular interests are the coaching relationship, boundaries between coaching psychology and other helping relationships, and cognitive-behavioural coaching approaches. I have a passion and drive to help young people realize their dreams and unlock their potential!! Whether pursuing a vocation or furthering one's education, we all know these times of transition and of reaching new heights can be challenging and sometimes a little bit daunting. I feel it is my calling to be there as a guiding voice, a shoulder to lean on, or an ear to listen through these most exciting of days!! I bring to the table experience as both a mother and as a high school Psychology teacher, as well as, my own journey through career and academic choices. Life has led me to this destination, where I can give back and use my strengths, experiences and gifts to help others, particularly young adults.
