In my work, I'm passionate about higher education, leadership development, and the performing arts. With a Master's Degree in Higher Education- Student Affairs Administration and a background in teaching high school English, I have spent 10+ years helping students learn and develop both academically, personally, and professionally. I see myself, first and foremost, as an educator, and I take that belief to heart in all of my professional interactions. My focus has been on career and leadership development, as I believe that these are crucial for student success. I'm also experienced in directing and producing events in the performing arts, which has given me a unique perspective on teamwork and project management. My undergraduate degree in performing arts with certifications in secondary English education and ESL PreK-12 has prepared me for a career that blends my interests in education and the arts. I am committed to maintaining a healthy work-life balance and prioritize mental health, both for myself and the students with whom I work. I am an avid reader, theater enthusiast, and enjoy spending time with my family when not working with students, directing shows, or volunteering with Alpha Sigma Alpha.
