Creating transformational change for individuals and businesses through the power of story. I’m a transformational coach, writer and brand & marketing strategist who uses coaching and storytelling techniques to help people create lives, careers and brands that are unique and full of purpose. I've rewritten my own story many times to create a life and business that is aligned with my values and ambitions, and grounded in purpose, connection and fun - I founded Re/Write to help others do the same. I’m a life-long learner with a BA Fine Arts, a post-grad in Writing and professional CIM qualifications in Marketing and Digital Marketing. I am also a certified and insured Transformational Coach. I’m a trainer, facilitator and presentation coach accredited in the Miller Heinman, Tracom ‘Social Styles’ and Franklin Covey frameworks. Originally from Australia, I live in London with my husband, toddler and two pooches.

"Life is not meaningful unless devoting it to children"; my motivation & inspiration to live my life by. Unintentionally, travelling through a lifetime of working with children about sums up my efforts, whether volunteer or professional. Going to college after high-school, changing majors at least five times, but always with a focus of helping youth. Every experience mattered and seemed to lead to my professional journey as Career Coach, the perfect place for me with purpose. True believer in "happenstance", as I moved from being Field Executive with Chesapeake Bay Girl Scout Council of Wilmington, to Program Director at Talbot County YMCA, to staying home to raise three children, tennis instructor for years, founder of Dorchester County Swim Team, Substitute Teacher for Dorchester County Public Schools (experience that led me to (so far) 27 years of public education), to Media Specialist, to Career Coach. Believer in "it's never too late to find your niche in the world"... I have found my place, the perfect position where I can impact students' lives. Helping students discover their own talents and skills which will lead them to happy, successful lives is my purpose. Being creative, thinking outside of the box, and having enough confidence in myself and my goals doesn't hurt when initiating program development to help kids find their way & pathway, especially while navigating the "murky waters of Career Coaching". What I have I learned in 65 years of living? Every single, solitary experience one has in life influences your pathway, sometimes in the smallest way, sometimes in the most magnificent way. Example: one semester in 1980 serving as Recreation Specialist Intern at Maple Shade Residential Boys' Home, made me discover my love for "making a real difference". Happenstance gave me opportunities that I could have turned my back on, but I didn't....even some, I may have wanted to, but I didn't. Stubbornness and being partly Portuguese, and that internal drive to p

Since an early age I have always enjoyed working in fields dedicated to the community and helping people. Starting out by working with young children as a day camp counselor at 16 to my current role as a Career Coach, I have always found myself working to help others. Positions that include College Baseball Coach, Physical Education Teacher, Residential Glass Manager of a local glass shop to my current role of educating inner city students to the many alternative career pathways that can be used to be successful in life. One of my favorite quotes is, "It's not the majority or the minority, it's the individual that will bring change to a community." I believe I have done a pretty good job of bringing change to our community and I look to continue to do so for a long time to come.

Don't wait until you stop working to start living! My WHY is dedicated to ALL of us who thought we had more time . . . time with loved ones, time to be healthy, time to live out our dreams after retirement . . . Adult-onset visual challenges, unexpected young widowhood and sudden solo parenting, then most recently, receiving the life-changing diagnosis of a rare autoimmune disorder have changed my life, my perspective, and my priorities. Travel has been my go-to throughout my stress, grief, and growth. I have leaned into travel to escape, to refocus, to grow, to deal and to heal. The unfolding of my life has led me to visit all 50 states, 16 countries, and 4 continents so far! My evolving story has also led me to discover my post-career entrepreneurial purpose and passion of helping over-scheduled executives, professionals, and entrepreneurs to create a transformation in their lives through mindset shifts, career and lifestyle choices and changes, work/life balance, time management, and taking decisive action to reduce their overwhelm, stress and burnout to optimize their happiness, health and wellbeing.
