Charismatic and passionate Student Affairs professional with over 10 years of expericne. Began my career in higher education as a Financial Aid Counselor at Northern Illinois University. Developed community outreach experience providing presentations and workshops regarding Financial Aid literacy and financing college education to Latinx communities including DACA and undocumented students. Had the privilege to be the Coordinator for the Association to Nourish and Develop the Advancement of Latinos in Education Program (ANDALE) at Oakton Community College focusing on the enrollment, holistic support and engagement of Latinx student on campus ultimately contributing to completion and transfer rate. Currently at Joliet Junior College as a Career Coach guiding undecided students/alumni/community members through major/career exploration, internship/job search, interview preparation (resume building, mock interviews, and salary negotiations). As I continue my career in Student Affairs I do so with a commitment to my students, their families, and our communities. My professional frameworks include commitments to Access, Equity, and Social Justice.
