Green Barbara Lee Parks

In 2004, Barbara Parks founded Green Career Tracks, one of the first career services committed to helping people who want to work for a sustainable future. Barbara has a solid track record as a career coach and counselor helping thousands of individuals--college graduates, first-time job seekers, dislocated workers, and mid-career changers--gain meaningful work that supports ecological, social and economic sustainability With offices in the Twin Cities' Metropolitan Area and the Bay Area, Barbara’s work draws from a background of corporate, non-profit, and entrepreneurial experience with a degree in Communications, Leadership in Public Policy Program graduate, and certified training in spiritual direction. She recently developed an innovative career planning model that addresses sustainable career and work opportunities in the emerging green economy. Barbara teaches “Sustainable Career Planning” as adjunct faculty of Minneapolis College of Art and Design’s noted Sustainable Design Certificate program. A credible, “authentic and organic” speaker, Barbara is frequently asked to speak on career opportunities in the green economy at green expos and conferences, professional associations, colleges and green networking events and has been interviewed by TV and radio hosts, book authors and online and print journalists for her perspective on sustainable careers and the growing green economy.
