Björn Horváth

I have worked with communities in East- and West Arica promoting sustainable agriculture, forestry, and enterprise development. With over 17 years experience in those roles, I have developed strong skills in project management, partnership building, and technical assistance for natural resource management and value chain development. My mission is to enable and empower farmers, agro-pastoralists, and forest users to conserve biodiversity, adapt to climate change, and improve their livelihoods through forest-friendly production, agroforestry, community forestry, microfinance, and gender and environmental education. I have collaborated with international and national partners and donors, facilitate visits from stakeholders and tourists, and prepared reports and proposals. I also have a background in forestry and environment from Sweden, where I worked as a Forest Officer and Forestry regenerating specialist. I am passionate about sustainable development and conservation, and I enjoy working in different cultural and climatic contexts.
