“As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another” – from the Book of Proverbs. Ernest spends his life, sharpening – his skills, his knowledge and his attitudes. With his sharpened life, he prunes the lives of young people that he works with, for the past 30 years, in different schools, offices and countries. I thrive in my work with young people. As a seasoned Career Coach, I guide them in Education and Career pathways. I am a listener, patiently drawing out their qualities and matching them with viable options. I am a leader, as team lead, I evoke the best from the team, and walk the talk to exceed departmental goals. Above all, I am client-centric and values driven, to give my best to the client. Before being an ECG Counsellor, I have over 10 years of experience as a Soft Skills Lecturer in a tertiary institution, specialising in Communications, Personal Development and Financial Literacy. I was also a Mentor to new Lecturers, helping them to settle in. I also have many years of experience leading youths and young adults in a Uniformed Organisation. Deep down, I’m a people person, with the skills and a burning passion to guide those who need help. Nothing gives me more joy than to see another person finding their strengths and knowing what paths they can take for the future. When not growing the team, I can be found overseas reaching out to orphans and mentoring leaders in their 20s - 30s to shine in life. I am also an avid online learner, keeping myself up to date from the latest educational providers. I’m most happy to connect with you anytime. Let’s sharpen one another!
