Rachael Claxton is a third-year student from Troy, Michigan, pursuing a dual-degree in Philosophy, Politics, and the Public (Honors B.A.) and Spanish (B.A.), with minors in Finance and Peace and Justice Studies. On campus, she serves as a Smooth Transitions Peer Mentor and one of the inaugural Ignatian Belonging Ambassadors in the THR1VE Center and works as a Peer Career Coach in the Career Development Office. Off-campus, Claxton has volunteered with numerous nonprofit organizations, such as the Urban League’s Holloman Center for Social Justice, Catholic Charities, Su Casa Hispanic Center, and St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church Outreach Ministries, an initiative led by her grandmother, with whom she has worked with since childhood to provide food, clothing, and personal care items to local community members in need. Claxton leads with a passion for service and relationship-building, striving to empower others and drive solutions that boost organizational impact and efficiency. Claxton graduated from Cranbrook Kingswood High School, a private, day-and-boarding school in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, as a residential student.
